Costan is included in a book which presents the work of visual artists of Italian American descent.
The survey contains a foreword by Dr. Joseph Sciorra, director of Academic and Cultural Programs at the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute in New York City. He writes: "this book is a welcome updating of previous investigations concerning the Italian American visual artist.”
Costan is among a range of artists whose examples of artwork and a personal story are featured. This hardcover volume features 266 color photographs, an illustrated essay by the books editor that contextualizes the artwork. At a time when ethnicity and cultural legacy are part of the art world conversation, Italianità makes a relevant contribution.
