interventions: Choking on the Blood of the Earth
The Earth is alive. It pulses with life. But in a historical sense, humans have a wider ranging dominion over the natural world than ever before. The earth and its inhabitants are being sacrificed on an altar of greed and wealth. Humanity is a threat to the natural world.Covid19 is a by-product of the power which has reached new heights. The resulting pandemic is worldwide. We abuse animal, plant and human life, to afford wealth to the few. The cost of this greed is further degradation of life forms, the climate and the earth. We are destroying our home, the Earth. Pandemic today, hurricanes tomorrow, extinction next week. The blood of life is being squeezed out of a living planet. We are at a crossroads and action must be taken to make space and time for nature to recover and slow its accelerating decline.
